"Neighbourhood"
Ames is a city of about 60,000 people.
The only real area of town, other than downtown, that has a "name" is Campustown (the area just south of the university.
Our neighborhood is known as "Parkview Heights". Most people in Ames refer to it as "The Presidents" as all of the streets in the area are named after U.S. Presidents. It was developed in the 1960s and has a lot of interesting and unique houses. It truly feels like a neighborhood.
As much as we love our house, we're doing upgrades on it in preparation to sell it in the next couple of years. We're ready for a bigger place.

I live in Forest Acres. Nothing special about it. Don't know the neighbors, which is sad.
